Frequently Asked Questions about Donating to CASA

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes.  CASA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all contributions to our organization are tax-deductible.

Can I donate online?

Yes.  Click here to make a secure donation to CASA through Network for Good.

May I make a pledge to pay over time?

Yes.  CASA is happy to arrange a payment plan with you.  Please call us at 301.270.7471 for more information.  You may also download our pledge form here.

Can I designate a specific use for my donation?

Yes.  If you designate a specific program or location, CASA will honor your request.  However, 90% of our income is restricted to specific programs and projects within the organization.  Unrestricted income, such as donations from individuals, allow us more flexibility and independence in achieving our mission.

Does CASA sell or share my information?

CASA does not sell or share our donor list.  Your information is kept confidential.  We do publish a list of donors in our annual report and fundraising materials.  If you would prefer your donation to be kept anonymous, or to not be listed, please let us know.

Will CASA solicit me by phone?

CASA does not engage in tele-thons or phone solicitations.  We do like to call our donors to say thank you or occasionally inform you about an exciting event.  If you would prefer us not to call you, please let us know.

If I share my email address with CASA, will I be inundated with emails?

No.  CASA sends 4 e-newsletters per year, and occasionally will email our supporters with press releases, articles highlighting CASA, or other announcements about time-sensitive information and opportunities to take action.
